RSD Doc2Mail

RSD Doc2Mail enables automatic e-mail notification of report availability and e-mail delivery of report content from RSD EOS (Enterprise Output Solution).  By eliminating the need to manually check the EOS repository for newly-created reports, Doc2Mail increases productivity and decreases errors, ensuring that users always have the latest report content available to them.

With options that enable report content to accompany e-mail notices, Doc2Mail offers users the flexibility to receive reports on virtually any e-mail client or device. This dramatically increases report distribution options and access points, particularly benefiting today’s mobile information workers who may not always have access to an EOS client application.

Doc2Mail is an optional component that enhances EOS with the following feature set:

• Multiple delivery options via any SMTP-based e-mail system allows for simple notice of report availability, insertion of an electronic report in line mode within the message, or optional inclusion of attachments that contain report data extracts.
• E-mail recipient management fully leverages e-mail capabilities, allowing specification of report recipient e-mail groups, delivery exceptions, copy / blind copy, and e-mail priority.
• A simple to use administration interface facilitates management of report delivery options, delivery rules, e-mail request queues, and tracking of e-mail distribution.
• E-mail address data integration facilitates import of e-mail addresses from enterprise data repositories, such as ERP systems and LDAP directories. 
• Link to EOS client application within the automated e-mail notice allows report recipients to seamlessly access report content through the EOS client application, fully leveraging its report access, search and management capabilities.
• Content format conversion allows reports to be delivered via e-mail in file formats that can be directly used by software applications such as Microsoft Office, eliminating manual conversion or copy / paste operations.
• Multi-platform support ensures Doc2Mail availability on all EOS platforms, including Unix, Windows and z/OS.
