RSD provides additional compliance functionality to its Report Management solution with EOS 1.5 for Open Systems

Geneva, September 24, 2007 – RSD, a leading provider of report and document management solutions, is proud to announce the new version of its flagship enterprise report management product:  EOS 1.5 (Enterprise Output Solution) for Solaris, AIX, Linux and Windows environments.

Featuring key compliance functionality such as the electronic signature and comprehensive tracking and auditing abilities, EOS 1.5  provides organizations’ distributed environment with extended capacities to comply with government legislation and regulations.  The solution helps organizations to efficiently monitor enforcement of internal policies and to be prepared to legal discovery (e-discovery) challenges.

EOS, ideally suited for high-volume data centers, continues to be the key infrastructure element for information captures throughout the organization and customized information delivery meeting numerous business application needs.  By automating the delivery of information assets to other applications, printers, e-mail or online via a secure Web client interface or any Web customized application, EOS will continue to generate significant reduction in print and distribution costs.

EOS 1.5 electronic signature functionality allows organizations to sign reports.  At the capture stage, a digital signature based on the imprint of the content seals any information or data flow captured.  The data is automatically preserved according to enterprise retention policies or any triggering event.  If a digital signature has been added, each time that EOS 1.5 distributes information, or permits users to retrieve and view the reports, verification can be made to ensure the authenticity of the content.

With EOS 1.5 tracking and auditing functionality, reports life cycle can be traced and analyzed.  All impacting events can be tracked, producing audit records that contain information on the event, time, date and initiator.  The solution enables the enterprise to use the audit trails generated throughout the output processes, administrator or user operations, to monitor and control operations.  Activated at the database level, the recorded events can be viewed through any third party viewer.  Records can provide information by user, report, administration or by operation type on reports.  

For purposes of legal discovery, these functionalities offer extensive search facilities to find the information assets and facilitate the gathering of accurate traces such as how, when and by whom the reports were captured, dispatched, distributed or viewed.

To streamline administration operations, additional functionalities have been added to this new version of EOS such as notepad support and the ability to delete logical reports.
