Sanpaolo IMI selects RSD solutions as the backbone of its banking application

Geneva - Switzerland, December 1st, 2003 - RSD (Roger Software Development) announces that Sanpaolo IMI, one of the major Italian banking and finance groups, has chosen the RSD suite of products as the backbone of its banking application. EOS and RSD Folders running on a z/OS platform server will progressively replace the report and document management software previously used in the four different banks merged into the new Sanpaolo IMI entity.

All customer-related contents will be managed in RSD Folders. With its robustness and open organizational structure, RSD Folders can easily accommodate the seven million customer files shared by Sanpaolo IMI's 3000 affiliates throughout the country. Users benefit from technologically advanced functionality to search and retrieve documents.

EOS (Enterprise Output Solution) will, in a first stage, manage the printing of customer documents such as account statements. Since the printing is centralized in Northern Italy, it is essential for Sanpaolo IMI to be able to rely on a solution that ensures secure preparation and distribution of the printing flow. The software's other more "traditional" output management features will be eventually implemented to have EOS become the bank's comprehensive report management solution.
