RSD Compliance and Governance Services (CGS) is designed to providing secure storage, information integrity and preservation as well tracing its usage over time.

RSD CGS includes the latest new functionalities such as electronic signatures for advanced archive sealing and the record management tool which traces any event impacting enterprise content that meets potential legal discovery demands.

All these additional values are now part of the RSD flagship product, RSD Folders 5.0 and will be soon enhancing the upcoming new EOS version. Along with secured access, these new functionalities help organizations comply with corporate and government regulations for all types of business information (documents of Microsoft Office content, print streams, reports and print lists, audio and video files, as well as ERP and legacy-generated information).

Archive sealing

RSD’s electronic signature functionality offered now by RSD Folders new version allows the organization to sign archives. A digital signature based on the imprint of the content seals any information or data flow archived. The data is automatically preserved according to enterprise retention policies or a triggering event. Each time that information is retrieved, if a digital signature exists, verification can be made to ensure the authenticity of the content.

Also, while providing the ability to authenticate the signature at anytime, the solution enables migration without putting sealed archives at risk.

Tracking and audit

During the lifetime of an asset all impacting events can be tracked; producing audit records that contain information on the event, time, date and initiator.
The solution enables the enterprise to use the audit trails generated by all RSD products and solutions, including RSD Folders, EOS and Doc2Print. Activated at the database level and produced in CSV format, whatever the platform, the recorded events can be viewed through any third party viewer. Records can provide information by user, by document, by administration or by document activity type.

For purposes of legal discovery, these services offer extensive search facilities to find the content assets and facilitate providing an accurate trace such as how, when and by whom the content was handled.
