Together, the RSD executive team has over 100 years of management experience in the software industry and a proven record of growth and innovation. While CEO Pierre Van Beneden has brought in new talent since taking over in March 2008, the executive team includes RSD veterans as well – seasoned managers who have supported our customers, and delivered new products to the market, for 10 years or more. Our goal is to continue RSD’s long-running tradition of offering the highest quality products and service to customers, while driving new growth with new products and a new vision for information governance in the enterprise.

Pierre Van Beneden - Chief Executive Officer
Pierre Van Beneden brings to RSD over 25 years experience driving growth at software companies through leadership and a results-focused approach.
Prior to joining RSD, Pierre was VP EMEA for Adobe Systems Inc. In this role, Van Beneden maximised growth opportunities in Adobe's traditional creative professional, digital imaging and digital video businesses while bringing force to Adobe's penetration of the enterprise market with its LiveCycle solutions.
- From 2001 to 2003, Van Beneden served as president of San Francisco
based Critical Path where he made significant steps in advancing the firm's strategy. His particular focus during his tenure was on adapting the management structure to enhance productivity and to align the firm to meet new global opportunities.
- From 1995 to 2001, Van Beneden was with Lotus Development Corporation where he served a variety of roles. Most recently, Van Beneden was Executive Vice-President, Worldwide Field Operations where he was charged with leading Lotus' worldwide sales and service businesses. In this role, Van Beneden achieved billion dollar revenue objectives and aligned the market strategies of several regional organizations. His leadership helped Lotus to dramatically increase its margins. In addition, Mr. Van Beneden held the roles of General Manager and Senior Vice President, Lotus EMEA. As vice president of software sales at Lotus, EMEA, he led his region to more than doubled revenues.
Prior to his time with Lotus, Mr. Van Beneden spent almost a decade at Oracle Corporation driving global growth strategies and redefining that company's sales messages and strategies. As a result of his leadership at Oracle France, he was elected worldwide "Manager of the Year" in 1989, and during the five-year period from 1989 to 1994 revenues for the division where he served as managing director increased more than 900%.
Prior to Oracle, he held various positions in the European IT industry, including executive positions at CAA, Digital Equipment.
Mr. Van Beneden holds a Ph.D. in business management from Paris University and a Master's degree in the same subject from Paris Dauphine. A recognized spokesperson on economic and business affairs, Mr. Van Beneden has co-authored a book entitled Meta Organizations and has spoken at the World Economic Forum on the subject of "The Role of Information Technology on Education".
Didier Basset - Vice President, Operations
Didier Basset joined RSD in 1993 as Marketing Director. His leadership and achievements over the years earned him the position of Director of Global Sales and marketing. Didier became Director of Operations in 2007. His deep understanding of RSD’s market, customers, and staff give him unique insight into the company’s business performance, and long-term strategy. He provides day-to-day guidance to ensure timely completion of corporate priorities, and ensures RSD builds and maintains a best-in-class organization.
From 1984 to 1992, Didier was Product Manager at IBM Suisse SA. He was in charge of launching new software for systems management (all IBM platforms) and a new range of information storage products. In addition, he was Sales Manager for major banks and financial services accounts in Geneva.
Before IBM, Didier was a data processing and software editing specialist at Gestronic SA -- one of the major enterprise resource planning software firms in Switzerland in the 1980s.
Didier holds a masters degree in social economic science and business computing from the University of Geneva. The lucrative career opportunity offered by IBM, unfortunately, stalled his pursuit of an MBA from Webster University.
Martin Floret - Customer Service
Martin Floret is responsible for RSD's post-sales, documentation, and quality assurance activities, as well as training and technical services worldwide. He manages a team of seasoned QA engineers who ensure the delivery of reliable software that meets customer expectations for performance and quality.
He also leads RSD’s technical support team, which is renowned for offering the “personal touch” which has kept RSD customers loyal for over three decades.
Martin holds a master in computer science from the University of Marseille. Prior to RSD he worked on document composition software at the company now known as SEFAS. Martin joined the RSD z/OS development team in 1991. He then moved to the interface development group before building the RSD Open System development team. He has been responsible for RSD customer service since 1997.
Andrej Sobkowski - Vice President - Software Development
Andrej Sobkowski is responsible for all of RSD’s development efforts worldwide. His focus is quality and delivery. He brings 12 years of experience leading product teams in embracing the mindset, methodologies, and tools necessary to guarantee on time, on budget, on scope, on quality releases.
Andrej has led enterprise software development teams in Europe and North America, in many industries (finance and private equity, telecommunications, transportation, oil & gas). He brings broad knowledge of the latest resource and project management techniques for large, multi-site software initiatives, including offshore development.
Sobkowski comes to RSD from Odyssey Financial Technology (Switzerland) where he managed the development of the flagship product Triple'A™, which generated most of the company’s revenue. Prior to Odyssey, he supervised the Software Architecture and Desktop Management department at AXA Investment Managers (France). He held various management, project management and independent consulting functions before joining AXA.
Andrej is also a certified enterprise architect. He has lectured on software development at the Université du Québéc à Montréal (Canada) and at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland).
Andrej holds two Master’s degrees: one in Electronics Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino (Italy) and one in Software Engineering from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications – now called “Telecom ParisTech”, Paris (France).
Jeremy Conrad-Pickles - Chief Financial Officer
Jeremy Conrad-Pickles joined the RSD team in 2010. He is a Chartered Accountant, having trained with Deloitte in London.
Prior to joining RSD, Jeremy had spent two years as Associate Director Finance at Temenos, the Geneva-based, Zurich-listed banking software company, a role which encompassed finance, treasury and risk management functions. There, he successfully closed two rounds of financing during the banking crisis and oversaw the implementation of ICS, the Swiss SOX. He gained valuable experience in a fast-growing software company.
Before moving into the software industry, Jeremy spent twelve years working in the Sports Management & Media Rights industry, first in a variety of roles in London and Continental Europe with IMG and then as Finance Director, France at Sportfive in Paris. During his time at Sportfive, he was responsible for transforming the French business’ processes and systems following a private equity buy-out and was a key member of the financial management team which accompanied the investors in their successful exit strategy.
Jeremy has a Bachelor’s degree in Pure Mathematics and Language Studies from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.
